Cool sighting of the week:
As briefly mentioned, our beloved Festive Snowman Fred was found to be in a serious state of disrepair after the warm sunny days of this past week. No matter, what's that they say? When life hands you lemons, make lemonade! So, with plenty of material still left to work with, I set about making another snowman. Building upon what was left of Fred, I quickly had a sturdy base to work with. After fashioning and attaching what turned out to be an abnormally large head, I was ready to decorate my new crystalline friend. The same two sticks worked well as arms again. The previous hat and scarf were fine as well. I found another pair of brazil nuts to use for eyes, shaped a stoutly nose, carved a handsome grin and even found myself adding ears to this snowman thereby confirming it's uniqueness and individuality. Our old snowman Fred was gone, but new snowman Simon now lives on! He's one cool looking cat and the birds began to land on his upraised arms without delay. Simon was an instant hit. It was very cool!
