Cool Sightings Of The Week:
First, the rose bush looked to be in a frenzy yesterday when I gazed upon it's full branches and found two enormous bunches of roses. Some of the buds were completely opened, others, just about to open, but both groups were gathered together like two perfect dozen roses, ready for anyone to enjoy and smelling so much sweeter than those from a store.

Also this week, I heard a crow calling loudly through the backyard just yesterday and decided to investigate the big bird's seeming complaint. As I moved deep into the backyard, I caught sight of a red-tailed hawk that was flying right over the meadow. Guessing that the hawk was probably what the crow had been trying to draw attention to, and sensing no immediate danger from the hawk at it's present altitude, I just stood and enjoyed watching as it was now climbing higher and higher. There were a few puffy clouds partially blocking out the sunlight, but just enough escaping at the cloud's edges so that each time the large raptor circled around to gain more lift, the red-tailed hawk's form shone brilliantly as it passed through each shaft of sunlight.

Summer's beauty is surely upon us now! Two perfect dozen roses found on the rose bush yesterday, were like Valentine's Day in July, and, catching sight of the local red-tailed hawk circling high above the backyard thru golden beams of sunlight this week was very cool!
