A creepy looking opossum was spotted foraging in the backyard earlier in the week. With a prehensile tail, the opossum is able to grasp items and hang from it's tail which is also kind of creepy. Also this week, a frog-shaped wet spot was found on a rock at the pond, indicating that an amphibious creature had recently rested itself there. A late night freight train was heard blowing it's whistle while passing each evening. And the dark-eyed juncos are being seen more frequently in the backyard these days. They can be seen regularly drinking at the pond, feeding on the ground beneath the bird feeders, or just seeming to frolic as they gather together and kick backwards in search of food at the base of a pine tree. Meanwhile, BackyardTV (the business) will celebrate it's two year anniversary this coming Sunday. Incorporated in 2007, BackyardTV was created as a peaceful refuge from this sometimes hectic world.
