Cool Sightings Of The Week:
First, the American robins returned for a brief visit last Sunday morning. So many, in fact, that it seemed there were robins, robins everywhere! They were in the trees, in the pond, they were scattered all across the lawn and even in the bird feeder which is almost never seen in this backyard. These robins only stayed for a while though, and had all vanished within a few hour's time.

Also this week, The Red Baron was seen flying in circles over the backyard last Sunday afternoon. My friend and I heard a sound in the sky and went to see what it was. As we cleared the trees we could see a bright red plane, one of the old-style ones, and it's pilot seemed to be enjoying the nice afternoon. We both remarked at how cool it was to see when, suddenly, it was as if the pilot had heard us and he began performing all sorts of exciting ariel maneuvers right above our heads! The small red plane showed off it's stuff as it climbed then circled while gaining speed, and even flew completely sideways vertical, with its wings perpendicular to the ground, before heading off the the south-east.

Yes indeed, catching a glimpse of The Red Baron in the skies over the backyard and getting a fall visit from the American robins this week was very cool!
